Saturday I took a short break from doing yard work and went down to Ken Cox Ford here in Troy to check out the car show that was being held by the local Kiwanis Club. There was a great turnout and it’s great to see the show grow each year. I have been going to car shows my entire life and saw something that I have never seen before at this one….a 1901 Oldsmobile Curve Dash.
This weekend was the TroyFest Arts Festival in Downtown Troy,Ala. . This is an annual event where you can find all kinds of Arts and Craft items as well as food and entertainment.
This year at TroyFest they held a Songwriter’s Competition and as part of that also had a Concert featuring Vertical Horizon. Before Vertical Horizon performed, winners of the Songwriters Contest performed.
I shot the T-Day spring game for the Montgomery Advertiser today. What’s not to love about getting paid to shoot a football game. Great day but very hectic. I had more less had 2 hours after the game to go through the 1,400+ shots I took and pick out a reasonable number to caption and send to the Advertiser. I made the deadline by about 6 minutes I believe.
It was also fun getting to see a couple a few guys that I went to school with here at Troy. Brock Nutter, Matt Allen and Lawrence Tynes were all back. Lawrence was being inducted into the Troy University Sports Hall of Fame tonight as part of the weekend celebration. Lawrence is a kicker for the New York Giants and is a two-time Superbowl Champion.
